Drew, who has been court-confined for observation at a psychiatry facility, calls his older brother Terry, to corroborate his claim of childhood sexual abuse, releasing barely-hidden animosities between the two. 'In a Dark Dark House' tells a tale of sexual and emotional abuse and two estranged brothers who attempt to overcome it and understand the legacy of abuse, both inside and outside their family home.

Two best friends from high school, Jon (an aspiring filmmaker on the verge of hitting it big) and Vince (a volunteer fireman who makes his money selling pot) meet up at a Motel 6 in Lansing, Michigan, where Jon's new film is being screened at a film festival. Over the course of the evening, Vince finally gets Jon to admit that ten years ago he date-raped Amy Randall, a girl whom they both dated in high school -- only then to reveal that he's taped the entire conversation. And not only that, he's invited Amy to have dinner with them that night. Beneath its suspenseful, high stakes surface, Tape examines questions of motive, memory, truth and perception.
